Northridge Memory Care at Fairwood
The Memory Care unit at Northridge was developed at Fairwood Assisted Living to offer a secured and loving home-like environment for those who have Alzheimer's or dementia related care issues. Northridge staff are extensively trained in all areas of Alzheimer's and dementia care. Fairwood's professional staff obtain appropriate information to develop personalized care plans to ensure dedicated quality care for each resident. This information is obtained from the resident, family physician and any other party involved. Residents will receive a positive point of view with loving understanding, dignity and compassion. Amenities include fully lit hallways with handrails, lobby, activity room, dining room, beauty/barber salon, resident laundry room, secure patio/garden and a private conference room.
Enhanced Residential Memory Care
Memory Care affords two levels of residential patient care. Each level offers a lobby area setting designed for common area entryway with a code alarm egress system for security. A comfortable sitting area is part of the lobby setting for residents and guests. The office for the nurse station is centrally located for easy access and viewing of residents, visitors and staff. Both Memory Care residential levels of care include a secured outside courtyard designed to allow residents to go outside in a safe setting. The courtyards are designed to offer a peaceful walking path experience with outdoor chairs to sit down to rest or enjoy the fresh air.
Activity rooms and dining rooms afford comfortable settings for various one on one or group activities. Memory Care has its own kitchen preparation with dining arranged to accommodate appropriate tables, chairs and feeding tables dependent upon the resident's abilities. Both have large window views for daylight and outdoor landscape scenery. Memory Care affords long hallways for walking and visiting.
